Ralph Capper Interiors have just won an exciting 150 person NHS call centre project, with our framework approved partner company. This is a very exciting announcement for us as it opens the doors to other contracts we were previously unable to deliver due to framework bureaucracy. With our framework partner we can now deliver projects on NWPC, NEUPC, OGC, NHS and most other UK public sector purchasing consortia. Your public sector clients are now given a much wider choice, due to our independent approach. FOCUS ON: Quinze & Milan

We are excited to welcome Belgium designers Quinze & Milan into our collection. Established in 1999, this eclectic label has taken the furniture world by storm with their cool, hardwearing furniture mostly made of QM FOAM TM. This means that most of their furniture lines are suitable for indoor or outdoor applications, being water and weather resistant. With several prestigious projects under their belt including the Mercedes Benz Museum, PWC in Frankfurt and the University Library in Copenhagen (part of the Danish Royal Library), Quinze & Milan have certainly proven that their versatile range works perfectly in the contract market. Here is what they say about themselves:

From the outset, Quinze & Milan used the slogan 'Creators of Atmosphere': a piece of furniture was not an aim in itself but a medium for a lifestyle that set out to challenge the reigning minimalism: wild and sexy, carefree and fun, loud and outrageous. Even the most respectable and critical international trade magazines soon welcomed Q&M as the pop star of furniture and the bad boys of the design world: a bit of punk, but also a bit of Prada.

RALPH'S TIP: Acoustics

Today's modern commercial buildings feature much more hard surfaces such as glass, stone, marble and concrete. Whilst these materials are perfect for many applications they often have one side effect; they create a noisy environment.

Whereas rugs and carpets soak up noise, the above finishes can often result in noise being bounced and echoed around a space which reduces the comfort of the area. Excessive noise within a workplace can have a serious detrimental effect on staff, causing distraction, headaches and reducing productivity.

Furniture can play an important part in noise reduction also. With new trends and designs hitting the market in the last 18 months, many companies have focused on tackling noise pollution via furniture design. Some are simple desk screens; others can be stuck to the wall with adhesive panels. We offer complete acoustic partition systems installed to meet specific acoustic requirements and backed up by expert acoustician data.
