Escape Lounge – Manchester Airport
Escape Lounge at Manchester Airport (T1) is an oasis of calm and sophisticated cool, featuring the best of British design. RCI worked with a dedicated interior designer and the Manchester Airport design team to carefully piece together this special project over several months in fine detail. The lounge has a homely 50’s feel combined with city chic and is enjoyed by VIP’s, private guests and celebrities passing through the city airport.
The brief was clear and concise: British design and 50’s flavour with a contemporary twist. Throughout a series of project meetings, we suggested furniture options which were slowly narrowed down in order to meet design and budget approval. Furniture samples were then arranged for showroom presentation to the project’s design team. Finally, Ralph Capper Interiors were successful in winning a competitive tender to supply, co-ordinate and deliver all furniture and decorative lighting to the Airport (airside) in June 2010.
The fabrics and finishes selected create a vintage and approachable feel, whilst the Wi-Fi, playstations, internet conferencing and scalectrix offer state of the art technology for lounge guests. Even the kids have a design-conscious play area to keep them occupied. Mancunian artwork sourced directly by the designer adds the finishing touches to an individual international lounge.
Make sure you make time for your Escape!
